Burnout Recovery Coach ยท UK ยท Worldwide

Burnout recovery coaching for women.
You don't need to push through.

If you are exhausted in a way that rest isn't fixing, something structural needs to change. That's what this work is for.

๐ŸŒฟ Does this sound familiar?

Burnout recovery starts with recognition.
You are not lazy โ€” you are running on empty.

Burnout doesn't arrive suddenly. It builds quietly โ€” through years of doing too much, absorbing too much, and ignoring the signals that something was wrong. By the time most women reach out, they have been pushing through for a very long time.

Exhaustion that sleep doesn't touch
Brain fog and loss of sharpness
Emotional brittleness โ€” short-tempered, tearful, flat
Dread at the start of every day
Physical symptoms with no clear explanation
Inability to switch off or rest properly
Feeling like you are failing at everything
A sense that something has fundamentally broken

If several of these are true, you are not broken and you are not weak. You are burned out. And burnout has specific causes โ€” which means it has specific solutions.

๐ŸŒฟ How recovery actually works

How burnout recovery actually works.
Two phases, done in the right order.

Most burnout advice skips straight to productivity systems and life redesign. That only works once you are stable enough to think clearly. When you are in burnout, the first job is different.

Phase one

Stabilise

Before anything else, we identify what is actively draining you and reduce the immediate pressure. This is not about doing less forever โ€” it is about creating enough space that your system can begin to recover. We look at what you are carrying, what can be put down, and what needs to change right now.

Phase two

Diagnose and restructure

Once you are stable enough to think, we find the actual causes. Burnout is almost never about one thing โ€” it is a structural problem built up over time. We identify the specific patterns, demands, and dynamics driving your depletion and make concrete changes. Not coping strategies. Real changes.

๐ŸŒฟ The coaching

The burnout recovery coaching programme.
Six sessions. Honest, direct, practical.

Sessions are 60 minutes via video call. They are not gentle reframing or guided journalling. They are direct, structured conversations focused on what is actually causing the problem and what can practically change.

Between sessions you work on specific actions we agree together โ€” small, concrete, low-friction. Nothing that adds to your already-full plate without removing something first.

The programme runs across approximately three months. Clients are based in the UK, Europe, and internationally. Everything is online.

๐ŸŒฟ Who you’d be working with

I’m not standing at a destination
telling you it’s beautiful.

25 years in digital and marketing. Burnout in 2021 alongside perimenopause. ADHD diagnosis at 43. In 2023 I sold most of what we owned, left Cape Town, and started again โ€” 10 countries, three worldschooled kids, now living in Guatemala.

I coach the way I do because I have been where you are. I know what it actually takes to stop, stabilise, and rebuild differently. Not theory โ€” lived experience.

Who this is for

Women in their late 30s to mid-50s who are exhausted, overfunctioning, and no longer recovering the way they used to. Often navigating burnout alongside perimenopause โ€” a combination that standard burnout advice does not account for. Particularly useful for high-achieving women who have tried to push through but find the usual strategies are no longer working.

Common questions

What you want to know
before reaching out

What does a burnout recovery coach actually do?

A burnout recovery coach helps you stop, stabilise, and understand what actually caused your burnout โ€” not just manage symptoms. The work is practical and honest: identifying what needs to change structurally, not just behaviourally, so recovery holds and does not repeat.

How is this different from therapy?

Coaching is forward-focused and practical. It does not treat mental health conditions or process the past. It helps you identify and remove the structural causes of burnout and rebuild differently. If you are in crisis, your GP or a therapist is the right first step. Coaching works best when you are stable enough to work on your life but stuck enough to need honest, structured support.

Can I recover from burnout while still working?

Yes โ€” most people cannot simply stop. Recovery is about reducing what is draining you while you are still in it, and making structural changes that lower the ongoing load. Complete rest helps but rarely resolves burnout, because the causes remain even after you return.

How long does burnout recovery take?

Recovery is not linear and depends on how long burnout has been building. Most clients begin to feel meaningfully different within six to twelve weeks once the right changes are in place. The programme runs across approximately three months.

I think I might also be in perimenopause. Does that change anything?

Burnout and perimenopause arrive simultaneously for many women in their 40s and they amplify each other in specific ways. This combination is addressed directly in the coaching โ€” not as a side note. You can also read more in the Burnout & Perimenopause Guide.
